After years of watching guarding companies struggle with outdated patrol systems, clunky hardware, foreign vendors with no local support, and monthly fees that didn't match Malaysian realities, we decided to build what the industry actually needed.

Go Patrol is our answer: a modern, multi-tenant SaaS platform designed specifically for Malaysian and Southeast Asian guarding operations. Every decision, from the offline-first architecture to the hybrid checkpoint scanning to the friendly interface that doesn't take long to learn, was shaped by how security actually works on the ground here, not in a pitch deck somewhere overseas.

It's the platform we wanted to buy, when we realised nobody was selling it.

How We Earned The Right

Stratel didn't start as a software company. We started as Malaysia's guard tour hardware distributor, and we spent a decade and a half learning the industry's every gap, every workaround, every guard's complaint. Then we built Go Patrol.

How it actually
came together.

2010
Chapter 01 · The Front Row

We started by selling other people's hardware.

In 2010, Stratel began distributing guard tour products across Malaysia. For 15 years, we had a front-row seat to the entire industry, every shift, every site, every workaround, every guard's complaint. We learned what worked. More importantly, we learned what didn't.

Chapter 02 · The Tender

Then came the nationwide call.

From 2018 to 2021, Stratel was awarded the nationwide tender to supply and technically support EBS Active Track RFID patrol devices for the guards rounding high-voltage power substations across the entire Peninsular Malaysia. Hundreds of mission-critical sites. Four years of deployments, training, and on-site support. Nothing teaches you the patrol industry quite like that.

Chapter 03 · The R&D

13 years in, we finally said: enough.

We'd seen the same patterns play out a thousand times. Foreign vendors with no local presence. Monthly fees in foreign currency. Software locked to one specific puck. Operators stuck waiting on overseas support tickets. So we started building our own, to break the dependency on foreign patrol platforms and put the control back in Malaysian hands.

Chapter 04 · The Launch

Go Patrol, built on what we already knew.

In 2025, Go Patrol launched as Malaysia's first patrol management platform to support multiple device types on a single backend, EBS Active Track hardware and Android/iOS phones. Same dashboard. Same data. Whatever your guards already use.

Four things we won't compromise on.

These aren't on a poster in the lobby. They're the reasons we say no to shortcuts.

Guards come first.

Every feature gets tested by a real guard on a real shift. If it adds friction to their job, it doesn't ship. Good patrol software should disappear into the work, bad software becomes the work.

Offline is not a feature.

It's a baseline. Our sites include rural car parks, underground basements, and construction yards with no signal. If patrol data can go missing when the connection drops, we failed.

Real-time or it didn't happen.

A report you read the next morning is a report that's already too late. Every alert, every check-in, every incident, pushed live to the operations dashboard in seconds, not hours.

When you call us, you reach an actual engineer in the ASEAN timezone, not a chatbot or a ticket number routed through three time zones.
